Dan Burkey is a photographer and creative spirit originally from Arizona, shaped by open landscapes, restless curiosity, and a lifelong love of the outdoors. From an early age, art was his language — and the natural world, his greatest teacher.

He has traveled much of the United States with a camera in hand, finding images in the stillness of rivers at dawn, the long shadows of city streets, and the quiet in-between moments that most people walk past. His work spans nature photography, long exposure, and street photography — each discipline a different way of paying attention.

Long walks in nature became more than exercise. They became a practice — a way to reflect, reset, and return to what matters. Alongside his photography, Dan built a community around the Stoic and philosophical principles that have guided his own journey toward a more intentional life. The camera and the philosophy grew together, both asking the same question: what do you see when you truly slow down?
